Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position

Job Description
Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Hybrid Community Role | Brisbane $125,000 – $140,000 + Super + CPD (negotiable) | 6 Weeks Annual Leave | Flexible Work - open to PPT or FT

Many experienced paediatric therapists want more autonomy, sustainable caseloads and time to deliver thoughtful therapy.

Play-Based Paediatrics offers an environment designed around those priorities. Play-Based Paediatrics provides paediatric occupational therapy services across Brisbane for children funded through the NDIS. Our therapists support children in the environments where they live, learn and play — homes, schools and community settings.

We intentionally maintain a small allied health team so clinicians receive strong professional support and families receive consistent, high-quality care. We are now looking for an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the team and contribute to the continued development of our service. Why

This Role Is Different

- Small collaborative team
- Sustainable caseloads
- Flexible hybrid working
- Robust professional development support
- Opportunity to help shape a growing service

Our Clinical Approach We focus on thoughtful, play-based therapy that supports children's participation in everyday life. Therapists at Play-Based Paediatrics have the autonomy and time to plan meaningful interventions, collaborate with families and work closely with other allied health professionals.

We prioritise quality of care, sustainable workloads and strong professional collaboration. The Role You will deliver paediatric occupational therapy using a play-based, family-centred and goal-focused approach.

The role includes:

- Mobile therapy across the Brisbane region
- Sessions in homes, schools and community settings
- Telehealth where appropriate
- Work-from-home time for documentation and planning

We maintain manageable caseloads so therapists can focus on quality therapy and meaningful outcomes for children and families. Key Responsibilities

- Deliver paediatric occupational therapy for children funded through the NDIS
- Support families to achieve meaningful functional goals
- Provide therapy across home, school and community environments
- Collaborate with physiotherapists and other allied health professionals
- Contribute ideas that strengthen therapy programs and services

Who This Role Suits This role suits an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist who:

- enjoys working in natural environments such as homes, schools and community settings
- values autonomy while remaining part of a supportive team
- wants time to deliver thoughtful, play-based therapy
- prefers sustainable caseloads rather than high-volume service
