Our client, a reputable organisation supporting children and young people with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (ages 8-17), is hiring a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join their team in Manchester. This is a rewarding opportunity to lead, support, and inspire young people to thrive and develop independence.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting children and young people with daily routines, hobbies, education, and social activities
- Promoting independence, personal growth, and new opportunities
- Leading shifts and providing guidance to team members
- Managing the home in the absence of the Deputy or Registered Manager
- Conducting staff supervisions and supporting team development
- Overseeing health and safety procedures, including risk assessments
- Supporting induction and onboarding of current staff
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at all times
What you'll bring:
- Level 3 Childrens & Young Persons Workforce qualification
- Experience working within residential care or similar settings supporting children and young people
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A caring, proactive approach with a focus on safeguarding and wellbeing
