About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to provide protected, consistent care for a participant with complex mental health & behavioural support needs. This role requires someone who is calm, confident, and able to provide structure, emotional regulation support, and proactive care.
You will
- Provide safe, person-centred support that promotes independence, emotional stability, and daily living skills, including personal care and meal preparation.
- Collaborate with management and the wider team to deliver positive participant outcomes.
- Provide behaviour support that promotes stability, safety, and independence at home and in the community.
- Confidently support participants with high-intensity behaviours and physical support needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and incident reporting.
- Show empathy, patience and a commitment to participant wellbeing.
Ideal but not mandatory
- Certificate in mental health or equivalent
- Maybo Training - Positive Behaviour Support or similar
Roster
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 8am - 4pm
What You'll Need
- NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Orientation Module Certificate
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Australian Driver's Licence
- Minimum 2 years' experience in complex disability care
- Experience with Psychosocial Disability
