Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, located in Manly Qld, is seeking a reliable and detail oriented Accounts Officer to assist with Accounts Payable, Receivable and month-end reports and processing . The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of responsibility, confidentiality and ethical standards and will play a key role in the Accounts team.
This role can be flexible to attract the right candidate, and will consider part-time working minimum 30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with preparing accurate accounting reports
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist with asset register reconciliations, updating of internal POS systems particularly related to Hospitality operations, and invoice preparation and filing
Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable. Assist with annual leave relief, and /or month-end reporting as required.
Weekly (or as required) debt collection – assist with any overflow from the accounts receivable role, as required.
Creditor invoices, member refund processing,
banking – assist with any overflow from the accounts payable role, as required.
Assist with compliance with financial, tax, and other regulatory requirements.
Assist the finance team to enhance general financial procedures
Assist in preparing financial statements and annual budgets.
working in a fast-paced workplace with multiple business units and their respective team leaders.
Some knowledge and experience with payroll systems would be an advantage

Experience working in similar sized business environment - this role is not suitable for remote option

Will need own transport or be able to commute to Manly (Bayside)
