We're looking for an experienced Human Resources Advisor who wants more than a traditional HR role. This is an prospect to become a trusted advisor to our Executive Team and leaders across the organisation, influencing culture, developing people, navigating complex workplace matters and helping shape the future of a growing healthcare organisation.
This is a highly autonomous and diverse position where no two days are the same. You'll partner with managers across recruitment, employee relations, industrial relations, workforce planning, leadership coaching, organisational development, learning and compliance. Your advice will directly influence organisational performance while ensuring we continue to provide exceptional care to our patients and support to our employees.

Key Responsibilities
1. Human Resources Advisory and Employee Relations
- Provide timely, practical and accurate human resources advice to managers and employees.
- Support managers with workforce management, employee relations and workplace matters.
- Provide advice regarding employment legislation, organisational policies and employment obligations.
- Prepare, review and maintain human resources documentation including employment contracts, correspondence, performance management documentation, investigation records, disciplinary documentation, policy documentation and other employment-related records.
- Support performance management, disciplinary matters, employee conduct issues and workplace investigations.
- Facilitate difficult workplace conversations, conflict resolution and employee mediation.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional standards when managing sensitive matters.
2. Industrial Relations and Legislative Compliance
- Interpret and apply modern awards, employment contracts and industrial instruments for Up-to-date Nursing Award 2020 and Health Professionals Award.
- Provide advice regarding Fair Work legislation, industrial relations obligations and employment risks.
- Monitor legislative changes and advise management regarding organisational impacts.
- Provide advice regarding workers compensation, return to work, discrimination and workplace obligations.
- Support compliance with employment legislation and industrial relations requirements.
3. Recruitment,
Workforce Planning and Onboarding
- Provide guidance and support throughout recruitment and selection processes.
- Assist managers with workforce planning and position design.
- Coordinate advertising, interviewing, selection and appointment processes.
- Oversee onboarding, induction and probationary processes.
- Support workforce planning initiatives and organisational capability requirements.
4. Learning, Development and Training
- Identify organisational and workforce training needs.
- Develop workforce capability and annual training plans.
- Design, coordinate and facilitate internal training programs.
- Deliver education sessions on HR, compliance, workplace conduct and leadership topics.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and support mandatory training compliance.
5. Payroll and Employment Conditions
- Provide specialist advice regarding:
- Award interpretation.
- Leave entitlements.
- Employment conditions.
- Classification and wage matters.
- Support payroll compliance activities and audits.
- Respond to employee enquiries regarding employment conditions and entitlements.
6. Human Resources Compliance and Risk Management
- Develop, implement and review HR policies and procedures.
- Support workforce compliance, risk management and governance activities.
- Maintain employment records, reporting and workforce documentation.
- Promote best practice people management and workforce governance.
- Support healthcare accreditation requirements, regulatory obligations and organisational audits relating to workforce and human resources functions.
7. Executive and Strategic Human Resources Support
- Provide high-level HR advice and support to the Executive Team both at our Head office and will be required to go to the hospital facility site as required.
- Participate in organisational projects and change management initiatives.
- Contribute to workforce planning, organisational development and capability initiatives.
- Provide recommendations to improve HR systems, processes and workforce outcomes.
- Undertake additional human resources projects and duties as directed by the Chief Executive Officer.
