Role Description This part-time remote role focuses on managing STRILAB | WAR LAB’s social media presence and online community.

The Social

Media / Community Manager will plan and publish content across relevant platforms, monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and help maintain a clear, consistent narrative about ongoing projects and outcomes. The role includes coordinating with project teams to translate complex technical and tactical work into accessible updates, managing community guidelines, and gathering feedback from followers. The position may also involve basic analytics reporting, support for online events or Q&A; sessions, and collaboration on communications campaigns that align with the incubator’s objectives and security requirements.

Qualifications

Experience with social media management, including planning, posting, and moderating content across platforms.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical or operational information into transparent, engaging updates.





Familiarity with community management practices, including setting guidelines, encouraging constructive discussion, and handling sensitive topics responsibly.

Basic skills in content creation (e.g., text, images, short video), and an eye for consistent visual and brand identity.

Ability to use social media analytics tools to track performance and adapt content based on data.

Comfort working remotely, managing time independently, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Understanding of or interest in defense, security, or military operations; prior experience in these domains is an advantage but not required.

High level of discretion and respect for confidentiality, especially around operational details and security considerations.

Proficiency in English; additional language skills are beneficial.

Relevant education or training in communications, marketing, media, or related fields is a plus.
