Description The Role a23 is seeking a SOE Engineer. This permanent, full-time position reports to the Practice Lead within the Modern Workplace practice and is part of the managed service team supporting the secure, reliable and effective operation of our Federal Government customer’s Windows Standard Operating Environment (SOE) and endpoint management platforms.

If you enjoy taking ownership of complex technical issues, improving enterprise endpoint environments and delivering trusted outcomes for customers, you will enjoy a23.

This role operates in a hybrid arrangement, with attendance at the customer site and a23 office as required. You will use your Microsoft Intune and Windows SOE expertise to provide BAU operational support and platform maintenance for a23 managed services customers.

Role responsibilities

SOE and endpoint

- Administer,



maintain and support customer Microsoft Intune or Microsoft Configuration Manager hybrid environments.
- Administer, maintain and support the customer’s Windows SOE deployment and mobility platforms using Microsoft and other cloud technologies.
- Test and validate endpoint management and mobility platforms for functionality, performance, security and compatibility.
- Deploy and support SOE images and mobility platforms using automation and orchestration tools.
- Maintain configuration profiles, compliance policies, endpoint security controls, and patching.
- Take ownership of incidents, requests and recurring problems, ensuring resolution within agreed service levels.
- Monitor platform health and resolve technical, security and service risks where required.

Applications

- Package, test, deploy and support applications across the customer’s managed Windows environment.
- Develop automation and scripts to improve deployment and support activities.

Service delivery

- Maintain accurate technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge articles.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to SOE, EUC and Service Desk team members.
- Collaborate with customer stakeholders, internal teams and vendors to resolve issues and deliver reliable service outcomes.

Skills And Experiences

Experience, Qualifications and Key Attributes

- Must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

- Desirable Skills

- Proficiency in PowerShell and Scripting
- Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and technologies like SAML and Kerberos




- Experience with advanced application packaging tools and solutions

- Over 5 years in the practical deployment of Windows SOE solutions
- Over 3 years practical experience using Intune to build and manage Windows devices
- Demonstrated experience working in a highly-secure Government environment
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced, growing and dynamic environment.
- Excellent organisation, communication and stakeholder management skillset with proven ability to manage multiple prioritise in parallel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications and certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), ITIL v3 Foundation, etc.

a23 Policy Handbook and Mandatory Training

On commencing with a23, all employees and subcontractors are provided with the a23 Policy Handbook and asked to acknowledge their understanding and commitment to adhering to its policies. All employees and subcontractors are also assigned a suite of mandatory training that is required to be completed on an annual basis. All a23 workers are to take all reasonable care of their own health and safety and ensure that their actions do not adversely affect the health and safety of others.
