We are seeking a Software Developer to join our Business Technology Team. Reporting to the Software Development Coordinator, you will work closely with the Data Integration & Solutions Specialist to develop, maintain and support Wespine's in-house business applications, system integrations and Power BI reporting solutions.

This is offered on a part-time (0.6 FTE), 12-month fixed-term contract, working 24 hours per week (3 days per week).

About the Role

As the Software Developer, you’ll contribute directly to the continuous improvement of Wespine's core business systems. You’ll deliver enhancements, bug fixes and new functionality across applications that support manufacturing, logistics and commercial operations, while also developing reporting solutions that provide valuable business insights.

Your responsibilities will include

- Designing and maintaining Power BI reports, dashboards and data models to support business decision-making

- Working with operational, commercial and finance stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver practical technical solutions

- Investigating and resolving application, reporting and data-related issues

- Maintaining high-quality technical documentation, source control and development standards





- Collaborating with wider Business Technology team on system improvements, integrations and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

Wespine is looking for a motivated and capable Software Developer who enjoys solving business problems through technology. You’ll be comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and contributing to a high-performing technology team.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Proven commercial experience developing software applications and/or Power BI reporting solutions

- Strong experience with SQL Server and T-SQL

- Experience with C# and .NET development, or advanced Power BI development, including DAX and data modelling

- Demonstrated ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into structured technical outcomes

- Experience working with version control, testing and release practices

- Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality documentation and governance standards

The following will be highly regarded:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline

- Experience with ERP systems such as Syspro

- Experience with DevExpress XAF and the XPO ORM or similar application frameworks

- Experience working within manufacturing or industrial environments
