About Blitzit

Blitzit Plan Manager supports NDIS participants across Australia by making plan management simple, transparent and reliable.

Over the past few years, we've built our own software platform from the ground up. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Software Developer to help us scale and improve our systems, build new features, and create better tools for both our team and the people we support.

Please note: This role is open only to applicants currently residing in the Greater Sydney area . We require a minimum of 3 years' commercial software development experience . Graduate, junior, interstate and overseas applications will not be considered.

About the Role

As part of our development team, you'll work across a range of projects that have a real impact on our business.

Your work will include

- Developing new features across our web applications
- Building and maintaining back-end services and APIs
- Working with databases and third-party integrations
- Improving system performance, reliability and security
- Testing, debugging and deploying software
- Collaborating with our team to turn ideas into practical solutions
- Contributing to the ongoing improvement of our software platform

This is a hands-on role where you'll have the prospect to contribute from day one and see the impact of your work.

Current Technology Stack

Our existing software platform is built using:
- JavaScript
- Node.js
- React
- AWS Serverless Architecture
- AWS Lambda
- DynamoDB
- Amazon SQS

You'll be working directly within this environment,



maintaining and extending our platform while helping design and build new features, integrations and services.

About You

You'll ideally have

- A minimum of 3 years' commercial software development experience
- Experience with JavaScript, Node.js and modern web development
- Experience building back-end applications, APIs and databases
- A strong understanding of software engineering principles and writing clean, maintainable code
- Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

Bonus Skills Experience with any of the following is highly regarded:
- AWS or other cloud platforms
- Serverless architecture
- REST APIs and third-party integrations
- Secure coding practices
- AI-assisted software development tools (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
- React, TypeScript or modern JavaScript frameworks
- CI/CD pipelines
- Healthcare, financial services or the NDIS sector
