Outback Honey is an Australian owned and operated apiary located in Dubbo New South Wales. It producesAustralian certified organic honey.
The business is now offering a full time position to candidates with the necessary skilled experience. The candidates must provide evidence of at least threeyears’ skilled experience working as an apiarist/beekeeper. The duties of the position include:
- Breeding and raising queen bees
- Monitoring and maintaining the health and condition of the bees
- Checking and re-queening bee hives regularly
- Providing and maintaining appropriate nutritional workplace
- Producing, harvesting and extracting honey/honeycomb
- Royal Jelly, Pollen, Bees was and propolis production
- Planning and organising for brood nest management operation
- Inspecting bee sites for good breeding condition and honey production
- Coordinating farmers for pollination services
- Destroying superfluous queen bee cells to prevent division of colony by swarming
The successful applicant is expected to have skilled experience in the above-listed duties, be of good character, free from allergies, andwilling to comply with industry WHS and quality assurance standards and expectations.
