Inside Sales Representative | Melbourne CBD (Hybrid) | $80K–$90K Base + OTE to $120K–$130K

This isn't an SDR job with a fancier title. You'll run the full sale — inbound lead to signed deal.

Workbench International builds ERP software for construction contractors — estimating, scheduling, payroll, cost tracking — for businesses from 15-person subcontractors to 1,000-person enterprise builders. 30 years old, historically sold entirely through founder-led word-of-mouth.

Riverside Company (a North American PE firm) bought in a few months ago. The mandate: build a real, professionalised go-to-market function — starting with this seat.

Right now, the founding team has been running Melbourne sales and marketing solo. A recent Head of Marketing is being appointed to take marketing off his plate. This role takes on the entire Workbench Light motion — inbound to close — and you support enterprise discovery and qualification handover.

Why This Role?

- $80K–$90K base, with OTE of $120K–$130K
- Real closing authority from day one — not meeting-setting, not top-of-funnel babysitting
- HubSpot lead scoring is actively being built out to make your job easier over time, not harder
- You're one of the first foundational hires in a GTM function being built from scratch under PE backing
- Melbourne, hybrid
- Average deal size ~$24K ACV

What You'll Actually Do

- Own full-cycle sales of the Workbench Light product: qualify inbound leads, run the demo, close the deal
- Triage every inbound lead — decide whether it's Light or Enterprise,

and route Enterprise‑fit leads straight to Justin
- Work a nurture and outbound list of existing customers and prospects
- Close inside a single demo wherever possible — no multi-call drag
- Hand off to the implementation team the moment a deal is signed — onboarding isn't your problem

Who This Suits

You don't need to have carried a full enterprise quota. What matters is whether you've already been trusted to close, not just book meetings.

- You're currently in an SDR, BDR, or ISR seat and have been handed increasing ownership over actually closing deals
- You can run a demo solo and get to signature without a senior rep bailing you out
- You want a genuine step up in scope — real closing authority, not just a new title on the same job
- You're comfortable in a small, still-forming team without a fully built playbook
- You can adapt as lead flow and process shift while HubSpot scoring rolls out

Construction, industrial, or trade-sector exposure helps. It's not required.

Why This Opportunity Is Different

Most "SDR" roles that get relabelled ISR are the same job with a better job title slapped on. This one isn't — the closing authority is real, and it's yours from week one.

You're joining at the exact point a PE-backed business decides to build its first proper inside sales function, working directly with the person who's been running this whole side of the business solo. Get in now, and you're not backfilling a process — you're building it.
