About the role

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated high level of contemporary knowledge, expertise and skill in nutrition and dietetics, with respect to eating disorders, and ability to apply established principles to routine nutrition assessment, implementation,
and evaluation of clinical services, with increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making within an inpatient mental health setting.
- Demonstrated ability to participate co-operatively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively using well developed oral and written communication skills to enable effective interaction with consumers, carers and other stakeholders in individual and group situations.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate quality and service improvement activities and/or research.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical supervision and education to students, less experienced clinicians.
- Experience in mental health and more specifically, those diagnosed with an eating disorder, is highly desirable.
Mandatory Requirements
- The successful applicant must hold a degree, or equivalent, in Nutrition and Dietetics and hold the Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) credential.
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
