We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Civil Construction Supervisor to join one of our construction teams based in Mackay. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about delivering quality civil construction projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

About the Role

As a Civil Construction Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading construction crews and overseeing the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects throughout the Mackay, Whitsunday and Isaac regions. You will play a key role in coordinating day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget and in accordance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and lead civil construction crews, plant operators and subcontractors.
- Plan, coordinate and allocate daily work activities and resources.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture through effective leadership and compliance with WHS requirements.
- Conduct pre-start meetings, risk assessments and ensure Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) are implemented.
- Monitor project progress, productivity and quality outcomes.
- Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, Surveyors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials and equipment to maximise efficiency.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards.




- Complete site documentation, including daily diaries, safety records and progress reports.
- Mentor and develop team members while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.

About You

You are an experienced civil construction professional with strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage teams in a dynamic construction environment. You lead by example, communicate effectively and are committed to achieving outstanding safety, quality and project outcomes.

Mandatory Requirements

- Current Queensland "C" Class Driver Licence (or equivalent).
- Construction White Card (CPCCWHS1001).

Desirable Qualifications

- Certificate III in Civil Construction relevant to modern transport infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience supervising road construction, pavement, earthworks, drainage or transport infrastructure projects.
- Solid understanding of civil construction methodologies, quality assurance and workplace health and safety requirements.

Rosters & Travel

This position involves 10-11 hour shifts , with rosters varying between 10 days on / 4 days off or 5 days on / 2 days off , depending on project requirements.

Our clients' projects are located throughout the Mackay, Whitsunday and Isaac regions , and while some work is local, the successful applicant must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
