As an Assisted School Transport Driver you will provide support to students who have high level behaviour support needs or heath care medical needs.
OR As an Assisted Travel Support Officer ( a carer's role ) This role includes assisting schools and contractors/drivers in;
- Providing additional supervision for students when accessing and travelling to and from school.
- Liaising with school principals in regards to specific student requirement and behaviour management plans
- Supporting students with assistive equipment
Applicants for these roles must have;
- Good communication skills
- Ability to provide supervision to students with special needs
- Ability to participate in ongoing training
- Ability to work collaboratively
- A current working with children check (Employment)
- A positive attitude towards life, family and friends
- Be astute to risk management and safety
This position would suit someone who:
- Wants to work 2 to 4 hours per day
- Has the availability to work split shifts
- Enjoys working with children
- Retired, community-minded and/or ex-health qualified who wants to make a difference to the lives of special needs children by contributing to our community
- Has an attitude of gratitude and appreciation
- Loves to be of service to children or people in need
