Our client is a Geotechnical & Geo-Environmental consulting company servicing regional NSW. The company employs 20+ staff throughout four branches located in Newcastle, Wingham, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour.
We are currently recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist for a full time position within our Port Macquarie office.
About the Role -
The primary role of this position will be to assist with and conduct site investigations, provide construction advice, and undertake reporting in relation to a range of projects such as residential and commercial developments, subdivision, multi-storey buildings, roads, bridges and other infrastructure.
Essential Requirements -
- The role requires the applicant to have a solid understanding of the principles of geotechnical engineering, foundation engineering,
road pavement design and slope stability assessment.Applicants should have between 2-10 year's experience in geotechnical consulting work, as well as:
- Tertiary qualifications in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology;
- Minimum of two years experience in Australia in regard to geotechnical investigation fieldwork and inspections is preferred;
- Ability to write basic geotechnical reports;
- General Induction Card (White Card);
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills;
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines;
- Knowledge of Australian standards and other Industry standards and guidelines;
