We are looking for an experienced Sandblaster / Surface Preparation Technician to join our production team. This role is critical to ensuring every product is prepared to the highest standard before powder coating.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Abrasive blasting of steel, aluminium and other metal products.
- Preparing surfaces for powder coating using blasting and other preparation methods.
- Inspecting components to ensure they meet our quality standards before coating.
- Loading and unloading items safely within the blasting area.
- Maintaining blasting equipment and ensuring it is kept clean and operational.
- Working efficiently to meet production schedules.
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Assisting with other production tasks when required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous abrasive blasting or industrial surface preparation experience.
- A strong understanding of surface preparation and coating requirements.
- A commitment to producing high-quality work.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to handle manual work.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
