About the role
We are seeking a Qualified Educator to join our team on a full-time basis at our centre in Edgeworth, NSW 2285. This position is initially offered as a 6-month contract, with the opportunity for ongoing employment for the right candidate. As a Qualified Educator, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality early childhood education and care services. You will be responsible for creating meaningful learning experiences that promote children's physical, social, emotional and cognitive development, while maintaining the highest standards of child safety and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate learning activities and experiences that align with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
- Building positive relationships with children and families, communicating regularly about each child's progress, development and learning outcomes
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation, observations and developmental records for each child in your care
- Supervising children at all times, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and engagement in activities within the centre environment
- Collaborating with colleagues to create an inclusive, welcoming and stimulating learning environment
- Participating in professional development opportunities and staying current with best practices in early childhood education
- Following all centre policies and procedures, including duty of care obligations and reporting requirements
What we're looking for
- A recognised qualification in early childhood education and care, such as a Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
- A current Child Protection Qualification, First Aid Certificate, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training
- Working With Children Check as required by NSW legislation
- Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories and the Early Years Learning Framework
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to supporting each child's individual development
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences and maintain documentation aligning with the EYLF
- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to children's changing needs and interests
