REC GEN

New South Wales

We are the Recreation Generation. Born in Australia, built for the world, we are Australia’s fastest growing performance and lifestyle brand.

We’re bringing our warehouse operations in-house, and building a new home for it in Cromer on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. It’s a build from the ground up, and we need someone who wants to own the operations end to end.

We’re looking for someone to run it. Completely. The transition from 3PL, the systems, the team, the numbers, the accuracy - all of it is yours. The wins are yours to chase, the problems are yours to solve. When something’s working, you scale it.

You’re setting up the engine room the whole business runs on - stock accuracy, dispatch speed and cost control all sit with you. One moment you’re training pickers on a current process; the next you’re negotiating freight rates, or presenting inventory KPIs to the leadership team.

What’s Involved: Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Build & Transition

- Lead the transition of warehouse operations from our 3P, to anin-house operation, from planning, execution, through to go-live.
- Manage the setup of the Cromer warehouse from scratch - technology, layout, storage, workflows and equipment.
- Plan space and capacity to support current volume and future growth, including peak season scaling.
- Build staffing models and rosters that match volume patterns across the year.

Systems & Technology

- Own hands-on implementation and day-to-day management of our Warehouse Management System (Peoplevox, .wms or comparable), with a strong preference for implementation experience.
- Manage Shopify and CIN7 integration - inventory sync, order flow and stock accuracy across every sales channel.
- Troubleshoot system issues quickly, and keep data clean and consistent across platforms.

Process Design & Daily Operations

- Design and continuously improve pick, pack and inbound receiving workflows.
- Set the standard for dispatch accuracy and on-time performance, with continual improvement and growth mindset.
- Own returns processing and keep it fast, accurate and low-friction for customers.
- Lead stocktakes and own inventory accuracy, chasing down shrinkage before it becomes a problem.

Stock Management

- Work collaboratively with the retail, marketing and production team to coordinate stock for stores, events, pop-ups, shoots..
- Organise new stock orders for stores
- Managereplenishment orders for stores
- Manage inbound product deliveries, working closely with production and logistics.
- Manage freight, labour and overhead costs against budget, and find efficiencies as we scale.
- Build and manage relationships with freight carriers and other warehouse vendors.
- Negotiate rates and service levels that support the business as volume grows, including through peak season.

People Management

- Hire, train and lead the warehouse floor team - pickers, packers and inbound staff.
- Build a team culture that takes pride in accuracy, speed and safety.
- Run the day-to-day people side: rostering, performance and development

Health & Safety / Compliance

- Own health and safety across the warehouse, including inductions, training and incident management.

- Keep the site compliant with all relevant WHS regulations and standards.

Reporting & KPIs

- Set up and report on the KPIs that matter: dispatch accuracy, on-time rates, returns processing and inventory shrinkage.
- Use data to make the case for process changes, headcount, or investment in the warehouse.

What You’ll Bring

- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a warehouse management role within a retail business or similar.
- Warehouse build experience - you’ve set up a warehouse before, or led a transition out of a 3PL, and know what “good” looks like.
- Hands‑on WMS experience - ideally Peoplevox or a comparable platform, with implementation experience strongly preferred.
- Confidence managing Shopify/CIN7 integration and the inventory accuracy that depends on it.
- Commercially sharp - you read freight, labour and overhead costs and act on them, not just report on them.
- A natural people leader who can hire, train and run a floor team of pickers and packers.
- Resilient and adaptable - peak season, supplier hiccups and growing pains don’t rattle you.

The Stack

- Peoplevox or comparable WMS
- Shopify / Shopify POS - retail and eCommerce
- CIN7 - inventory management
- Rostering and workforce tools (e.g. Deputy / Employment Hero)
- Loop
- LoopSlack, Fellow and Google Workspace for comms, workflow and reporting.

What You’ll Love

- A genuine build - you’re setting up the warehouse, the systems and the team from the ground up.
- Ownership of the numbers that matter: dispatch accuracy, cost control and inventory accuracy.
- The autonomy of running your own operation, with the backing of the group behind you.
- A leadership seat where your ideas on process and systems have real impact.
