Lead the Experience. Grow the Community.
Krinklewood Estate is one of Australia's leading certified organic and biodynamic wine estates, home to award-winning wines, luxury accommodation, Cézan Trattoria & Bar, weddings, premium events, a growing Wine Club and a new luxury Bathhouse opening soon.
We're looking for a charismatic, hands-on Cellar Door & Wine Club Supervisor to lead our Cellar Door while growing and nurturing our Wine Club community.
More than a traditional Cellar Door role, you'll lead daily operations, be the face of our Wine Club and help grow direct wine sales through exceptional guest experiences. Working closely with the Owners, Winemaker, Sales Director and Food & Beverage Supervisor, you'll ensure every guest leaves feeling genuinely connected to Krinklewood.
If you love wine, hospitality and creating memorable experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
You'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the Cellar Door while taking ownership of our growing Wine Club.
From delivering premium tastings and coaching the team to coordinating Wine Club shipments and ensuring every guest space is beautifully presented, this is a hands-on role where no task is too big or too small.
Your Responsibilities
Wine Club Management & Growth
- Manage all Wine Club communications and member enquiries via phone and email.
- Be the primary point of contact for Wine Club members, delivering personalised five-star service.
- Coordinate Wine Club shipments with our Winemaker, including packing, fulfilment and postage.
- Assist with implementing and growing our new tiered Wine Club membership program.
- Coordinate member lunches and exclusive Wine Club events while driving membership growth and retention.
Cellar Door Leadership & Sales
- Deliver engaging, storytelling-led wine tastings that bring the Krinklewood story to life.
- Confidently share our certified organic and biodynamic philosophy, wines and estate history.
- Position yourself behind the bar to convert tasting experiences into takeaway wine sales and Wine Club memberships.
- Train Cellar Door staff to conclude every tasting at the bar, creating natural opportunities for sales conversations and member sign-ups.
- Coach and mentor the Cellar Door team in wine knowledge, hospitality and sales techniques.
- Work towards weekly and monthly targets for wine sales, average transaction value and Wine Club memberships.
Cellar Door Operations
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Supervisor to ensure a consistently five-star Cellar Door experience.
- Manage reservations through Tock (transitioning to OpenTable) and respond promptly to booking enquiries.
- Monitor reservations, guest requests and group bookings to ensure seamless service.
- Maintain exceptional presentation throughout the Cellar Door, retail displays and surrounding guest areas.
- Assist with stock management, merchandising and point-of-sale systems.
- Process sales through Square and Shopify while maintaining accurate records.
- Support weddings and estate events when Cellar Door assistance is required.
- Roll up your sleeves wherever needed to maintain the premium, relaxed atmosphere Krinklewood is known for.
About You
You'll thrive in this role if you:
- Have at least one year's experience in a Cellar Door, hospitality, premium retail or customer-facing sales role.
- Are a genuine people person with a warm, charismatic personality.
- Love building relationships and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Are confident selling wine and introducing guests to the benefits of our Wine Club.
- Are passionate about wine and eager to continue learning.
- Lead by example and enjoy coaching and developing others.
- Are organised, proactive and happy to jump in wherever needed.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum one year's experience in a Cellar Door, hospitality or premium customer service role.
- Current RSA.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Australian working rights.
- Availability to work Thursday–Monday , including weekends.
Highly Regarded
- WSET or formal wine qualifications.
- Previous Wine Club or membership experience.
- Leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience using Square, Shopify, OpenTable or similar hospitality systems.
Why Join Krinklewood?
- Work at one of Australia's leading certified organic and biodynamic wine estates.
- Help grow one of the Hunter Valley's most exciting Wine Clubs.
- Be part of the launch of our new luxury Bathhouse.
- Enjoy a varied role across wine, hospitality and estate operations.
- Ongoing wine education and professional development.
- Staff discounts across accommodation, restaurant and wine.
- Join a passionate and growing team in one of the Hunter Valley's most beautiful destinations.
Why You'll Love It Here
