Pharmavet is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to join our Quality team. This role is responsible for ensuring our quality control activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and APVMA regulatory requirements.
Working closely with the Senior Quality Assurance Associate, you will support the implementation and continuous improvement of quality control systems, processes, and documentation across our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures are followed in accordance with GMP and APVMA requirements.
- Inspect incoming raw materials and packaging materials to verify compliance with quality specifications.
- Perform quality checks on Bill of Materials (BOM) kits before production.
- Verify transfer documentation and Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
- Process BOM kit receipts accurately within Q Master and MYOB.
- Conduct in-process inspections throughout manufacturing to ensure product quality.
- Perform quality testing on in-process and finished products and accurately record results.
- Collect product samples and coordinate external laboratory testing.
- Assist production teams with material reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate inventory and quality control records.
- Manage the quality process for returned finished products.
- Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
- Assist with maintaining and improving quality systems, procedures and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with Production and Quality teams to resolve quality issues.
- Complete quality activities accurately while meeting production schedules and deadlines.
About You
- Experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control environment within a GMP/GLP-regulated industry (pharmaceutical, veterinary, medical device, food or similar). Previous APVMA or TGA experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- A qualification in Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Science or a related discipline is preferred, although not essential for the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and record-keeping skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and strong problem-solving skills.
