About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Podiatrist to join a growing aged care team and provide comprehensive foot care services to elderly residents across residential aged care facilities.

In this role, you will play a vital part in promoting foot health, mobility, comfort, and independence among residents. You will work closely with residents, carers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic, person-centred care. Key responsibilities:

- Conduct routine foot assessments for aged care residents
- Diagnose, treat,



and manage a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions
- Provide ongoing podiatric care, including treatment of:
- Corns and calluses
- Fungal infections
- Ingrown toenails
- Foot pain and mobility-related concerns
- Develop and implement preventative care strategies to reduce the risk of falls and foot-related complications
- Recommend appropriate footwear and orthotic solutions
- Educate residents and care staff on foot care and foot health practices
- Deliver foot exercises and mobility support recommendations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualised care plans
- Support wound care management and provide advice on assistive devices where appropriate

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Podiatry
- Current AHPRA registration as a Podiatrist
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
