Electrician Tradesperson

The Role

You will work on the surface, fixed plant equipment, and village accommodations as an electrician tradesperson, contributing to the team that provides electrical trade support. Maintain fixed plant assets, including related infrastructure, as needed, take care of breakdowns, perform improvement work, and actively seek out areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- To conduct installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of electrical plant and installations at the mine.
- Monitor electrical equipment to ensure it remains in a fit for purpose and safe condition.
- Operate machinery as part of a multi-skilled workforce.
- Undertake project-specific tasks as appropriate and directed to you by the Supervisor.
- Provide safe, effective, and efficient electrical maintenance services to all sections on-site
- Meet required targets with safety as the priority
- Perform quality inspections of machinery, and documents as per legislative and operational requirements




- Resolve operational or technical equipment problems to minimise processing/manufacturing interruptions resulting from equipment breakdowns/failures
- Accept a high level of ownership of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
- To be a part of the callout teams
- Maintain cost focus and reduce wastage of materials.
- Assist in the development of safe work procedures and JSA’s
- Work as an effective member of the Electrical team, including contributing to a positive team environment

To succeed in this role, you will:

- Have an Electrician Trade qualification and competency certificates.
- A Grade Electrical Worker's Licence (WA).
- Relevant tickets such as Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, EWP & High-Risk Licence (compulsory)
- Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation.
- ARC Split System Air Conditioner Ticket preferred but not essential.
- Certificate in High Voltage Switching Operations
- First aid certificate including Low Voltage Rescue and CPR.
- C Class Driver’s Licence (manual).
- Previous Fixed Plant Maintenance Experience in the Gold Industry (minimum 2-years)




- Ability to communicate with all levels across operation and external parties.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure the safety of maintenance personnel associated with fixed plant equipment maintenance.
