As a Senior Investigator, you will lead complex investigations into natural resource offences, engage with communities and stakeholders and support compliance activities across Queensland. This role suits an experienced investigator who can work independently, manage complex matters and contribute to regulatory outcomes.

Our Land division are the stewards for 60% of the land in Queensland and we deliver a variety of land and property services across Queensland, including land and asset valuations; state land administration and on ground management surveying services; native title claims and compensation; Indigenous land services; vegetation management; place names and government land acquisitions.

Our Senior Investigators work within the Land and Natural Resource Management unit, leading complex law enforcement investigations into natural resource offences and supporting proactive compliance activities across Queensland. The role contributes to protecting Queensland's natural resources through community engagement, regulatory compliance and investigation outcomes.

In this role, you will manage complex investigations using specialist technical, scientific and expert evidence, prepare investigation documentation and briefs of evidence, liaise with communities, industry, government agencies and stakeholders and support departmental compliance activities through advice, training and mentoring.

The position operates within a small regionally based team and requires travel throughout Queensland to undertake compliance and investigation activities.





We are looking for a enthusiastic candidate who can undertake high-quality investigations, maintain professional stakeholder relationships, support compliance capability across the department and contribute to a contemporary and effective regulatory compliance program.
