Responsibilities
- Driving any vehicle supplied by Veolia, having received the relevant training.
- Carry out and complete daily vehicle checks and daily defect books as instructed.
- Be responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is in a roadworthy condition and report any defects to the Supervisor or Manager immediately.
- Ensure that all loads are safe and secure by using sheeting systems provided as well as any fall arrest systems to get up, down and on top of the trailers.
- Report any accidents or incidents that occur during the shift immediately to the Supervisor or Manager and ensure that the relevant accident/incident report is duly completed and submitted for investigation.
- Ensure that all road traffic rules and regulations are adhered to at all times and that all parking restrictions are observed.
- Once driving duties are completed assist with any other duties as directed.
- Ensure the correct completion and submission of tachograph uploads as per the company policy and procedures.
Qualifications
- Essential:
- Class 1 licence
- Class C & E licence
- Time management
- Ability to work in a team or alone
- Desirable:
- Previous waste industry experience
