Part-time Family Assistant - Private Accommodation Provided

We are seeking an experienced, warm and proactive Family Assistant to support a lovely professional family with three children aged 9, 7 and 2 years in Berry, NSW.
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting a busy family and takes pride in creating a calm, organised and beautifully presented home. The role offers approximately 20 hours across two full days each week, with occasional additional hours available.
For candidates travelling from further afield, comfortable private accommodation is available on the property during working days, making overnight stays convenient if required.

This is a varied and rewarding position combining household management, meal preparation, childcare support and the opportunity to travel with the family from time to time. Working alongside the family's regular cleaner and gardeners, you will play an integral role in ensuring the household runs smoothly while maintaining an exceptionally organised home.

The ideal candidate is confident, organised and self-motivated, with the ability to anticipate the family's needs and work with minimal direction. You will have exceptional attention to detail, a positive and adaptable attitude, and be looking for a long-term role with a warm and appreciative family.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Resetting the home following the morning routine
- Maintaining the kitchen, including loading and unloading the dishwasher and keeping spaces organised
- Preparing school lunches and dinner
- Grocery shopping and running household errands
- Laundry management
- Maintaining organised cupboards, storage areas and household spaces
- General household tidying and light housekeeping, with occasional deeper cleaning as required
- Managing bins,



mail collection and deliveries
- Maintaining outdoor entertaining and living areas
- School drop-offs and pick-ups as required
- Occasional before and after-school care, support during school holidays, and assisting with children's routines while the mother attends appointments or runs errands
- Availability to provide occasional weekend childcare, approximately once per month, with reasonable notice.
- Assisting with the care of the family's friendly hypoallergenic dog

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

- Previous experience as a Family Assistant, Household Manager or experienced Nanny
- A genuine love of children, with a calm, nurturing and engaging nature
- Confidence in preparing simple, family-style meals
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently
- Professional, reliable and adaptable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current Driver's Licence with a safe driving record
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate, or willingness to obtain (cost covered by the family)
- Valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check
- Excellent contactable references
- Full working rights in Australia

JOB CONDITIONS

- Part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week across two full days)
- Preferred working days are Wednesday and Thursday (adaptable)
- Occasional additional evening or weekend hours available by mutual agreement
- Attractive hourly rate plus superannuation, annual leave and sick leave
- Private accommodation available on the property if required (this is not a live-in position)
- Opportunity to travel with the family interstate and internationally
- Family vehicle provided for work-related duties
