Help older people stay connected, independent and living well at home.
At Liberty Community Connect, we believe growing older shouldn't mean becoming isolated.
Every day, we support older people to stay connected, remain independent and live the life they choose through social programs, transport, in-home support and practical services that make a genuine difference.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, community-minded person who loves meeting people, building relationships and creating opportunities that have real impact.
If you're naturally outgoing, enjoy networking and are passionate about strengthening communities, we'd love to hear from you.
About the role
This is more than a community engagement role. It's an opportunity to become one of the faces of Liberty across the Gold Coast.
As our Community Connections & Partnerships Officer, you'll build meaningful relationships with health professionals, hospitals, GP clinics, allied health providers, community organisations, retirement villages, local businesses and referral partners to help more people discover the support Liberty provides.
You'll spend much of your time out in the community attending events, meeting new people, identifying opportunities and strengthening referral pathways. You'll also help tell Liberty's story by capturing photos, client experiences and community moments that showcase the difference our team makes every day.
No two days will be the same. One day you could be visiting a hospital or GP practice, the next attending a community expo, presenting to a local group, visiting one of our programs or meeting with a new referral partner.
We're looking for someone who sees opportunities where others see conversations. Someone who enjoys opening doors, building trust and turning ideas into partnerships that improve the lives of older people across our community.
What you'll be doing
Build and maintain strong referral relationships across the Gold Coast.
Promote Liberty's services throughout the community.
Develop partnerships with hospitals, GP clinics, allied health providers,
retirement villages, local businesses and community organisations.
Identify opportunities for new programs, partnerships and service growth.
Grow community awareness and referral pathways.
Attend networking events, expos and community activities.
Deliver presentations and information sessions where appropriate.
Support the promotion of Liberty's programs, events and community initiatives.
Capture photos, videos and stories that showcase the impact of our services.
Gather client stories and testimonials (with appropriate consent) for marketing and community engagement.
Work alongside the CEO to generate engaging content ideas and provide photos, stories and updates for Liberty's website, social media and marketing.
Track referral activity, partnerships and community engagement outcomes.
Contribute fresh ideas that continue to strengthen Liberty's profile across the Gold Coast.
About you
You're someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people and building trusted relationships.
You'll also bring:
Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
Confidence engaging with individuals, community groups and professional stakeholders.
A proactive, positive and self-motivated approach.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
The confidence to represent Liberty professionally in the community.
Creativity and initiative, with an eye for opportunities and great stories.
Experience in community engagement, business development, marketing, health, aged care or a related field (desirable).
Confidence using social media and capturing quality content on a smartphone (desirable).
The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
A current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the Gold Coast.
At Liberty, we don't just deliver services.
We build relationships, create connections and help people continue living the life they choose.
When you join Liberty, you'll become part of a supportive team that genuinely cares about the people we serve and each other.
We offer:
Flexible part-time hours.
Attractive salary packaging benefits as a not-for-profit organisation.
A role where you'll spend more time in the community than behind a desk.
Meaningful work that makes a genuine difference every day.
A supportive and collaborative workplace.
Opportunities to grow and develop your career.
The chance to help shape stronger, more connected communities across the Gold Coast.
Ready to make an impact?
If you're energised by meeting people, building partnerships and creating opportunities that improve the lives of older people, we'd love to hear from you.
Bring your enthusiasm, ideas and passion for community.
We'll provide the support and opportunity to help you make a real difference.
