About Wilkie Creek Mine:
Wilkie Creek Mine, located 25 mins drive from Dalby QLD, is restarting under a staged and disciplined approach.
Under new management the mine restart has commenced with coal processing operations underway through dry and wet commissioning and the processing of existing stockpiles. Works have begun on the train loadout facilities to prepare for upcoming railing operations. This is being followed by a progressive reintroduction of mining activities in the very near future and ultimately the resumption of rehabilitation works.
At Wilkie Creek we strive to seeing a historic mine brought back to life with a renewed vigour and energy to ensure the success of an iconic local thermal coal provider.
About the role:
We are currently seeking personnel to join the expanding coal processing department for multiple disciplines including electrical, mechanical, boilermaker and non trade personnel.
In preparation to move from commissioning to full operation of the CHPP, Mobile crushing and train loading we are looking for passionate, fast paced individuals who strive to work amongst a safety and efficiency focused team of like minded people working towards a singular goal.
Answering to the CHPP Supervisor the key responsibilities of the role include:
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to health and safety and complying fully to the site SHMS and all legislation requirements
- Safe operational activities of the CHPP including control room, tailings and rejects, crushing and screening and train loading
- Conduct routine scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities alongside a structured PM work schedule
- Operation of a range of mobile equipment including
- Wheel loaders
- Tracked dozers
- Skid steer
- Telehandlers
- Excavators

Desirable qualifications and experience:
- Mechanical or electrical trade qualification
- Coal processing experience
- Current RII competencies for relevant mobile equipment
- Current RII competencies for relevant fixed plant skills
