BTP Group is currently recruiting experienced and safety-focused HD Plant Mechanics to join our growing Mackay workshop operations.

What You Could Be Working On
Our workshop teams support a diverse range of heavy equipment, including:
- Mining and earthmoving equipment including CAT, Komatsu and Hitachi
- Road transport and support equipment including Volvo, Mack, MAN and Isuzu
- Workshop-based repairs,
maintenance and component overhauls
- Preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis
- Secure work systems, risk assessments and quality documentation
You will bring:
- Trade qualification as a Heavy-Duty Plant Mechanic
- Experience maintaining and repairing heavy mining plant and equipment
- Strong understanding of OEM standards and safe work practices
- Forklift licence (required)
- Dogging licence or higher (highly regarded)
- Current "C" Class driver's licence
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to complete job documentation and reports accurately
- Willingness to support apprentices and contribute to a positive workshop culture
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including night shift where required
- Ability to meet pre-employment medical, functional and drug & alcohol requirements
