Twin City Hotel is one of North Queensland’s largest and most diverse hospitality venues, and The Buffet is a flagship operation within the precinct. With over 400 seats, 80+ dishes on offer, and features including a sushi train, this is a high-volume dining experience built around quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction.

We’re seeking a Buffet Manager who is passionate about customer experience and confident leading a large team from the front in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

As Buffet Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering a consistently high-quality guest experience while overseeing the day-to-day operations of The Buffet.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading, coaching, and developing a large front-of-house team with a strong service culture
- Managing daily operations across a 400+ seat, high-volume restaurant
- Setting and maintaining customer service standards and presentation
- Being visible on the floor during service and engaging with guests
- Managing rosters, labour costs, and team performance
- Working closely with the Kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow across 80+ dishes
- Handling guest feedback professionally and turning issues into positive outcomes
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, food safety,



and venue procedures

About You

You’re a hands-on hospitality leader who understands that great customer experience drives repeat business.

You’ll bring:

- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or Senior Supervisor (high-volume venues highly regarded)
- A genuine passion for customer service and team engagement
- Robust leadership and communication skills
- A calm, solutions-focused approach during busy services
- Experience managing labour, rosters, and service delivery
- Availability across a rotating roster, including weekends and peak periods
