Corporate Secretarial Officer

An established professional services firm is appointing a Corporate Secretarial Officer to help manage a growing client portfolio. The role has come about as the business looks to build sustainable capacity into a function that has been running lean. The firm works closely with a private client team, and this role sits close to Partners rather than several layers removed.
The Role
- Manage the ongoing compliance and maintenance of a portfolio of more than 2,500 companies
- Prepare and lodge ASIC forms, including company statement packages
- Maintain company registers, including electronic Members' and Officers' Registers
- Research and advise senior staff on compliance obligations under the Corporations Act 2001
- Support the establishment of new entities, including companies, trusts and SMSFs
- Liaise directly with clients, lawyers,
document providers and bookkeepers
- Using CAS360
Background Required
- At least three years in a similar role within a professional services environment, either a law firm or financial services background
- Robust working knowledge of ASIC compliance requirements
- CAS360 experience is an advatage, though not essential
- Comfortable working autonomously across a high volume portfolio
- Strong attention to detail and confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels
