Hours: 38 hours per week

Salary: AUD 79500 per annum + superannuation

Gianni’s Shoal Bay is an Italian restaurant and pizzeria located in the heart of Shoal Bay. We

are seeking an experienced and motivated Full-Time Cook to join our kitchen team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and

menu requirements.

Preparing ingredients, including washing, cutting, portioning, marinating and

seasoning food.

Cooking meat, seafood, vegetables, pasta, sauces, pizzas and other menu items using

appropriate cooking techniques.

Operating grills, ovens, fryers, stovetops and other commercial kitchen equipment.

Monitoring food quality throughout preparation and cooking.

Ensuring meals are prepared consistently and presented to the required standard.

Portioning food and assisting with plating and presentation.





Maintaining appropriate stock levels and assisting with food storage and stock

rotation.

Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.

Maintaining a clean, hygienic and organised kitchen and work area.

Working effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and service

of meals.

Accommodating dietary requirements and special customer requests where

required.

Minimising food wastage and ensuring appropriate handling and storage of

ingredients.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should have:

Certificate III or above in Commercial Cookery or a relevant equivalent qualification;

At least TWO years of experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
