About the role

Donohoe Pastoral Co is seeking a reliable Farm Hand (or a keen working couple) to join our team across our family-owned cattle properties in the Charleville, Blackall, Augathella, and Morven region, Queensland. This is a full-time position that will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our cattle stations. We are open to applications from individuals or couples where both partners can contribute to farm duties. We offer an above-award wage that will be negotiated according to your level of experience.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting with livestock management, including mustering on motorbikes, drafting, handling, and basic animal health tasks (vaccinations, treatments, etc.).

- Performing general station maintenance such as fencing repairs, yard work, water point checks, and property upkeep.

- Conducting regular inspections, basic repairs, and maintenance on machinery, vehicles, and infrastructure to ensure safety and reliability.

- Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to protect yourself, your colleagues, livestock, and our valuable assets.

About you

- Previous experience working on cattle properties or farms (station hand, livestock handling, or general rural work preferred).

- Excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic,



and a genuine commitment to safety.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a small, close-knit team.

- A valid driver's licence (and willingness to obtain any additional licences or certifications required, e.g., for machinery operation).

- For couples: Both partners should be willing and able to contribute to station duties (one may focus more on general hand tasks, the other on machinery/livestock as skills allow); we can discuss flexible roles.
