Experienced Disability Support Worker – Complex Behaviour & High Intensity

EverythingU Pty Ltd

EverythingU is currently seeking experienced, compassionate and confident Disability Support Workers to join a dedicated team supporting a participant with complex support needs in Zillmere, Brisbane Northside.

This role is suited to Support Workers who have experience supporting people with behaviours of concern, high-intensity support needs and restrictive practices, and who understand the importance of consistency, professional boundaries and person-centred support.

We are building a small, reliable and skilled team around the participant to provide secure, consistent and high-quality support.

About the Role

As a Support Worker in this position, you will provide individualised support within the participant's home and community, working closely with the participant, their family and broader support team.

Supports may include:

• Personal care and daily living assistance
• High-intensity personal support where required
• Medication support and administration
• Implementing strategies outlined within the participant's Positive Behaviour Support Plan (PBSP)
• Supporting and responding appropriately to behaviours of concern
• Implementing authorised restrictive practices where required and in accordance with the participant's plans, training and relevant requirements
• Recognising triggers and early warning signs and using proactive strategies to support regulation
• Accurate documentation, progress notes and incident reporting
• Supporting household routines and daily living tasks
• Community access and meaningful participation
• Working collaboratively and consistently with the participant's broader support team

This is a role where consistency matters. Support Workers will be expected to follow the participant's established plans, strategies and protocols and contribute to a stable, predictable and respectful support environment.

Participant-specific training and orientation will be provided where required.

About You

We are looking for Support Workers who are calm, confident and consistent, particularly when supporting complex behaviours.

You will understand that behaviour is a form of communication and be able to remain professional and responsive during challenging situations while maintaining the participant's dignity, rights and choice.

You must also be comfortable working within clear behaviour support strategies, documentation requirements and restrictive practice safeguards.

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrated experience supporting participants with complex disability and/or behaviours of concern
• Experience working with Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs)
• Understanding of restrictive practices and NDIS requirements
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or similar, or relevant demonstrated experience
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Current Blue Card where required
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
• Strong written communication and documentation skills
• Ability to follow support plans, behaviour strategies and participant-specific protocols
• Calm, respectful and dependable approach to support

Previous experience with high-intensity supports, complex behaviours, restrictive practices or mental health/psychosocial disability will be highly regarded.

Applicants should be available for regular rostered shifts and committed to providing consistency for the participant.

Pay

$45.28 – $50.61 per hour + applicable penalty rates

Classification will be based on the duties, responsibilities, qualifications and experience applicable to the position under the SCHADS Award.

Roles may be classified at SCHADS Level 2.1 or Level 3.1, depending on the nature and level of responsibility of the work performed.

Why Join EverythingU?

At EverythingU, we believe support should feel personal.

We provide NDIS supports focused on choice, independence, dignity and genuine connection, and we are committed to building teams around each participant rather than simply filling shifts.

Working with us means:

• Being part of a respectful and supportive team
• Consistent shifts with a regular participant
• Participant-specific training and support
• A workplace that values ethical, person-centred practice
• Working within a small team where your contribution matters
• The opportunity to make a genuine difference in someone's life
