This company has a track record for delivering high end projects valued up to $20M. They specialise in the delivery of unique fitout and refurbishment projects in the commercial, hospitality, retail, workplace, and education sectors. Having an already well-established relationship with several high profile clients, this company is looking for a highly ambitious Junior Estimator or an Estimator to help secure recent projects and strengthen pipeline.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
Working closely with the Estimating Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end estimating responsibilities, contributing to the successful tendering and securing of projects. With comprehensive guidance and support, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth and development by ensuring the successful acquisition of key projects.
DUTIES.
Prepare tender submissions
Estimating projects
Cost Planning
Scope of works preparations
Subcontractor negotiations
Pre tender planning
Bill of Quantities
Work with the team to plan programming
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an estimating role within the construction space
Background in commercial fitout & refurbishment projects is preferred
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (preferred)
