In this role, you will create and revise technical drawings, manufacturing documentation, and CAD models to support production. Working closely with engineers, production staff, and senior designers, you will ensure that drawings are accurate, practical, and comply with company and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for manufacturing and fabrication.
Produce manufacturing, assembly, and component drawings from engineering concepts and specifications.
Revise existing drawings to reflect design changes and production improvements.
Maintain drawing registers and engineering documentation.
Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and assist with product documentation.
Ensure drawings comply with company standards, Australian Standards (where applicable), and engineering best practices.
Liaise with engineers, production personnel, suppliers, and quality teams to resolve drawing issues.
Assist with prototype development and design modifications.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing processes.
Organise and maintain CAD files and document control systems.
Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas for improving manufacturability.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential
Certificate IV, Diploma, or Associate Degree in Engineering Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, Design, or a related field.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Solid attention to detail and accuracy.
Positive written and verbal communication skills.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work both independently and within a team.
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
