About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant with 4 years of professional accounting experience to join our growing finance team. The successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance activities, and process improvements. This role is ideal for someone who is commercially minded, proactive, organised, and looking to further develop their career within a collaborative and fast-paced workplace.

Key responsibilities
Maintain and manage financial records, general ledgers, and accounting transactions
Prepare monthly management reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities including reconciliations and journal entries
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Daily bank reconciliation
Prepare and lodge BAS, GST, payroll tax, and superannuation obligations
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
Monitor cash flow and banking transactions to support operational requirements
Support payroll processing and reconciliation activities for operational staff




Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and taxation obligations
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities

About you
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
4 years of accounting experience in public practice or commercial environment
Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles and tax requirements
Experience with accounting software such as Xero
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
You are a confident, proactive and detail-oriented Accountant who takes ownership and accountability for your work
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
CA or CPA commenced or intention to pursue qualification (desirable)
