Elevate Builds is a Sydney-based property development and construction group with an active pipeline of residential and mixed-use projects across the Inner West, Canterbury-Bankstown, and City of Sydney. We’re bringing our planning and approvals work in-house and are looking for a registered NSW architect to own it.

This is a contract role for someone who lives and breathes the NSW planning system — not just design, but getting projects approved.

What you’ll do
Prepare, lodge, and manage Development Applications (DAs) and Complying Development Certificates (CDCs) across multiple concurrent projects
Act as the primary liaison with private certifiers, council planners, and referral bodies through the assessment process
Prepare architectural drawings and documentation to lodgement standard
Navigate heritage, conservation area, and FSR/height constraints to find viable approval pathways
Manage RFIs,



respond to council requests, and drive applications through to determination

What you need
Current registration as an architect with the NSW Architects Registration Board (essential)
Sydney-based
Demonstrated experience managing both DAs and CDCs from concept to approval
A track record dealing directly with certifiers and local councils — particularly Inner West, Canterbury-Bankstown, and City of Sydney
Robust working knowledge of the NSW planning framework (LEPs, DCPs, Housing SEPP, and CDC pathways)
Ability to work independently and juggle several applications at once

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
