Muses Wine Bar is looking for an experienced and motivated Head Chef to lead our kitchen.

Muses is a neighbourhood Greek wine bar inspired. Our menu focuses on traditional Greek flavours presented with a up-to-date approach.

We are looking for a Head Chef who can respect this identity while bringing strong leadership, consistency and their own ideas to the kitchen.

The role

As Head Chef, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation and continued development of the kitchen, including:
Leading, training and developing the kitchen team
Maintaining consistency across food quality, presentation and service
Developing seasonal dishes that remain aligned with the Muses concept
Managing food costs, labour and kitchen profitability
Completing menu costings and maintaining accurate recipes
Managing ordering, stock control, preparation and waste
Creating effective rosters according to business requirements
Maintaining food-safety, cleaning and compliance standards
Building solid communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams
Leading services calmly and maintaining an organised kitchen

About you





We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience as a Head Chef or a solid Sous Chef ready to step up
Is confident managing a small, hands-on kitchen
Has understanding of Mediterranean or Greek cuisine
Can balance creativity with commercial responsibility
Understands food costs, labour management, ordering and stock control
Communicates clearly and leads by example
Takes pride in developing people and creating a positive kitchen culture
Is organised, reliable and consistent during service
Has full working rights in Australia

This is an prospect to take ownership of a distinctive neighbourhood restaurant, work closely with the owners and help shape the next chapter of Muses Wine Bar.

You will have plenty of support while learning the kitchen, our food and the way we operate. We want to find someone who feels comfortable at Muses and is interested in growing with the restaurant.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience
