Professional Practice & Standards Director

ARITA is seeking an experienced insolvency professional to join our team in a senior, technically focused role as Skilled Practice & Standards Director .

This opportunity would suit a Senior Manager or Director with broad corporate and personal insolvency experience, a senior associate‑level solicitor with at least five years’ working in insolvency, or a senior investigator from a regulatory background, possibly with prior insolvency firm experience.

If you have solid technical expertise, sound judgment, and a deep interest in insolvency work, this role offers the chance to apply your skills at a high level and make a meaningful impact.

As the pivotal role shapes the technical and ethical framework for Australia’s restructuring and insolvency profession, you will provide expert guidance to the Board, members, and regulators; oversee member complaints and discipline; and contribute to education programs and industry events.

Key Responsibilities
Lead ARITA’s member complaints and disciplinary processes, ensuring integrity and transparency.
Drive technical initiatives, including law reform submissions,



regulatory liaison, and updates to the ARITA Code of Professional Practice.
Contribute to education programs through content development, training delivery, and conference facilitation.
Provide technical and ethical advice to members and stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For
Advanced technical knowledge in restructuring, insolvency, and turnaround practice.
Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain).
