Your recent role
This is a specialist Employee Relations position focused on supporting leaders with performance management, conduct matters, workplace complaints and investigations.
Working as a trusted advisor, you'll guide managers through complex people matters, ensure procedural fairness, and support positive workplace outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing employee relations cases from end to end
Advising leaders on performance and conduct matters
Supporting workplace investigations and complaint resolution
Providing practical and compliant ER advice
Coaching managers through difficult conversations
Maintaining accurate case documentation and records
Partnering with stakeholders across the organisation
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you'll bring:
Demonstrated experience in Employee Relations, Industrial Relations or HR Advisory positions
Strong experience managing performance management and workplace conduct matters
Experience investigating employee complaints and resolving complex people issues
The ability to build credibility and influence leaders at all levels
Excellent communication, judgement and stakeholder management skills
Experience working within Defence or other highly regulated environments will be highly regarded
Essential requirements:
Australian Citizenship
Current Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance
Availability to work full-time from the Canberra office
