Head of Financial Planning and Business Performance
This is an prospect to influence how a major Australian organisation makes commercial decisions.
With a broad, national footprint and substantial asset base, you will play a central role in shaping financial performance and strategic decision making across the group.
You will partner closely with the Executive Leadership Team to lead enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, performance reporting and commercial analysis across a complex, $1b+ business. You will help shape the conversations that determine where the business invests, how it performs and where prospects exist to create greater value.
While this is a senior leadership role, it is not one removed from the detail. We are looking for someone who enjoys building capability, challenging assumptions and improving the quality of financial insight, while confidently influencing senior stakeholders across the business, and solving complex commercial problems when required.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading the Group planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management process
Partnering with the CFO, CEO and ELT to provide commercial insight that supports strategic decision making
Leading and developing a small yet talented FP&A; team
Improving forecasting accuracy, management reporting and enterprise performance visibility
Building stronger reporting frameworks, dashboards and financial models that become practical decision-making tools across the business
Working with finance, commercial and operational leaders to improve business performance and support strategic initiatives
This role will suit an experienced enterprise planning, business performance or commercial finance leader who has owned reporting within a large, complex organisation. You combine executive presence with genuine technical capability and are equally comfortable influencing senior leaders, as you are building credibility through the quality of your own analysis.
You will have CFO, CEO and Board exposure, so being comfortable with engaging with and influencing senior leaders will be critical. You will also be collaborating with divisional Finance Business Partners to ensure your team can deliver.
Low $200’s base plus super and bonus should see you earn circa $250k total package. CBD based.
