Due to growth, we’re looking for a Medical Receptionist / Administrator to join our friendly team.
About the Role
This role is the first point of contact for our patients and supports the smooth running of the clinic.
Greeting patients and managing check-in/check-out
Answering phones and responding to enquiries
Booking, confirming and rescheduling appointments
Theatre bookings
Processing payments, Medicare and health fund claims
Updating patient details and managing electronic records
Assisting with recalls, reminders and patient follow-up
General administrative support for clinicians
Providing additional cover for holiday and sick leave when required
About You
You’ll be a warm,
organised and reliable team player who enjoys working in a busy medical workplace.
Previous experience as a medical receptionist or administrator
Solid computer skills and ability to pick up recent systems
Excellent communication and customer service skills
High attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
A calm, caring and non-judgemental approach to patients
Experience with Genie or similar Medical Software Package
Knowledge of Medicare billing and referrals
Experience in theatre bookings
