As an Assistant Store Manager at Petstock you support the Store Manager in leading a passionate team to deliver world‑class customer service, playing a key role in the success of the Petstock Group.

Responsibilities
Coach and mentor the team to achieve and develop their knowledge and skills.
Lead from the front by consistently providing an exceptional customer experience.
Create a strong safety mindset and foster a culture of safety within the team.
Manage stock effectively, ensuring accuracy and adherence to stock integrity processes.
Assist in managing visual merchandising (VM) of stock displays, maintaining VM standards.
Stay up to date on pet care, products, and services, demonstrating initiative in product knowledge.
Recruit, onboard, and induct high‑calibre new team members.
Support local marketing opportunities and sponsorships.

Qualifications
Experience in a similar store leadership role or robust desire to step into retail management.
Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.




Solid leadership ability to motivate and build a high‑performing team while fostering a positive culture.
Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting priorities, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Knowledge of secure work, health & safety practices.
Established business acumen.
Flexibility and adaptability to a changing work workplace.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and rapport with customers and the wider team.
