About the Role
This is a full time, permanent role in our Campbellfield welding and fabrication facility. You'll be part of the team building complete steel caravan chassis using MIG welding.
Key responsibilities
Set up components for welding according to specifications and job cards
MIG weld and fabricate steel parts to assemble caravan chassis
Read, understand and follow Job Card requirements
Verify dimensions and ensure all required parts are present
Meet fabrication quality standards and document any product issues
Adhere to all OHS requirements in the welding/manufacturing environment
Test/check completed products to minimise rework or recalls
General clean-up to maintain a secure work area
Qualifications & Experience Required
Trade qualification in metal fabrication / welding
Minimum 1 years' welding experience in a manufacturing setting
Strong MIG welding skills (caravan, truck or trailer chassis experience highly regarded)
Understanding of OHS requirements in welding and manufacturing
Physically fit to meet manual handling requirements
Able to take direction and follow procedures
Able to work effectively as part of a team
Work rights
You must have full legal right to work full time in Australia. Candidates without valid work rights will not be considered.
Benefits & Conditions
Full time permanent role (after 3-month probation)
Hours: 38 per week
Mon-Thu: 7:00am-3:30pm
Fri: 7:00am-1:00pm
Plus reasonable overtime as required
Salary negotiable depending on experience

PPE and welding equipment provided by the company
Tea and lunch breaks observed; tea & coffee provided
Annual leave taken during scheduled company closures
