We are seeking an experienced API Platform Engineer to join a high‑performing team delivering mission‑critical integration capabilities on AWS. This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on building, operating, and scaling a up-to-date API platform.

If you’re solid with Kong Konnect/Gateway and have deep experience implementing secure, production‑grade API ecosystems, this contract will suit you perfectly.

What You’ll Be Doing
Building and operating Kong Konnect/Gateway (CP/DP), including routes, services, plugins, and rate‑limiting strategies




Automating infrastructure and deployments using AWS CDK (TypeScript) and Terraform
Working with CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines or similar)
Implementing observability using CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, and tools like Prometheus/Grafana or New Relic

What We’re Looking For

Must‑Have Technical Experience
Strong production experience with Kong Konnect/Gateway (this is the key requirement)
Advanced TypeScript/Node.js engineering skills
Proven experience implementing OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and mTLS
Solid AWS IaC experience with CDK + Terraform
Strong monitoring/logging/tracing background (CloudWatch, OTel, etc.)
