La Costa Café & Restaurant (BD Aroma Pty Ltd) is a well-established Italian restaurant on the Central Coast, known for serving authentic Italian cuisine, quality ingredients, and excellent customer service. We are looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our friendly kitchen team.
About the Role
As a Cook at La Costa Café & Restaurant, you will play an important role in preparing high-quality meals while maintaining food safety and kitchen standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook Italian dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards.
Assist with menu preparation.
Ensure food is presented to a high standard.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation.
Follow all food safety and WHS regulations.
Work efficiently during busy service periods.
Support the Head Chef and work collaboratively with the kitchen team.
What We're Looking For
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred).
At least 1 year of full-time experience as a Cook in a busy café or Restaurent.
Valuable knowledge of Italian cuisine (Prepare and cook pasta, mains and sauces, Hand-stretched pizza production, Fresh dough preparation, Dough fermentation) is an advantage.
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Positive attitude, reliability, and excellent teamwork skills.
What We Offer
Competitive salary $78,000 – $85,000 per year.
