Finance Manager (6 Month Contract initially)

North Shore, Sydney NSW | On‑site, 1 day WFH after induction | $130,000–$150,000 base + super

A finance leadership role for someone who wants to walk into a business mid‑transformation and own it. The processes are being rebuilt from the ground up across AP, AR, cashflow and month end. Suited to a CA or CPA who is immediately available and comfortable with pace and ambiguity.

About Our Client

Our client is a well‑established technology business operating across Australia and New Zealand. The finance function is going through significant change and this person will be central to getting it right.

Responsibilities
Own month‑end and year‑end close end to end, including journals, reconciliations and reporting packs
Keep the general ledger clean and fully reconciled across bank, WIP, fixed assets and intercompany
Own debtor and creditor performance with direct line of sight to cash flow
Ensure all statutory and tax obligations are met including BAS, GST and FBT, and be the main contact for external auditors




Produce monthly P&L; and balance sheet reporting with variance analysis the business can act on
Lead a small team across revenue accounting, financial accounting and accounts payable, and develop them throughout the engagement
Identify where processes are breaking down and fix them

Requirements
CA or CPA qualified or in progress
Proven experience in a senior finance or accounting role with direct team leadership
Solid month‑end close, GL and balance sheet governance track record
Statutory compliance experience including BAS, GST and FBT
ERP experience, SAP or similar, and solid Excel
Comfortable working in a demanding, quick‑paced environment and partnering with operational stakeholders
Full working rights, including Working Holiday Visa
