Senior Financial Accountant/ Finance Manager

The Role is in a boutique law firm seeking a Senior Financial Accountant / Finance Manager to lead their internal finance function. This is a hands‑on role responsible for the smooth financial operations of the firm, offering a mix of management reporting, technical accounting, and process improvement and coaching a part time accounts clerk.
Core Responsibilities Reporting: Prepare monthly management packs including P&L;, balance sheets, and cashflow with KPI commentary. Trust Accounting: Manage trust account receipting and payments while maintaining compliance with legal profession standards.
Reconciliations: Oversee daily and monthly trust and office account reconciliations. Compliance: Assist with trust account audits (QLS requirements)
and BAS preparation. Operations: Handle budgeting, multi-entity reporting, payroll (STP/PAYG), and debtor management.
About you: Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Robust understanding of trust accounting requirements.
Experience with Xero.
Qualifications: CPA, CA, or a Bachelor of Accounting is required.
Salary: $95k to $110k, depending on proven qualifications and experience.
