Our client is looking for a Financial Accountant who wants to properly own their numbers, not just process them. This is a hands-on role that spans day-to-day bookkeeping right through to full accounting, and it will suit someone who has worked in a small business environment and knows what it takes to make that work.

About The Role

You will take a breadth of responsibilities in this role, from the fortnightly payroll, weekly supplier payment runs, and the financial admin that currently, right through to managing commission processes for the sales team, inter-group invoicing, and BAS returns across the group, while also building the cash flow and forecasting picture for the whole business and each entity within it.

We are looking for someone experienced who has seen these processes before and understands the why behind them, not just the how. Whether you are part qualified, fully qualified, or qualified by experience, what matters most is your attention to detail and your genuine curiosity about the numbers.

What you'll bring
Experience in a fast-paced, commercial, private sector business, ideally small to mid-size
Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software, Xero experience highly regarded
A hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach and genuine care about getting the detail right
Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills
