Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in ****, and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. The College belongs to the community of ten schools across Australia called Good Samaritan Education (GSE). About the Role
Rosebank College invites applications for the position of HSIE Teacher to join our highly team-oriented HSIE Faculty in a temporary full-time (1.0FTE) position for the **** school year.
This position has become available to cover a staff member undertaking an approved 12-month flexible working arrangement.
The successful applicant will commence in Term 1, ****, report to the HSIE Coordinator and teach across a range of year levels.
The College is seeking a teacher with the ability to teach Geography and, ideally, Commerce. The capacity to teach an additional subject outside the HSIE Faculty, such as Religious Education, would be highly regarded. Applicants with the ability to teach additional HSIE subjects, including History, are also encouraged to apply.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively within the HSIE Faculty and across the College, contributing to curriculum development, student achievement and the broader life of the school.
The HSIE Faculty is highly successful and fosters a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and evidence-informed teaching practice.

To be considered for this position, applicants must demonstrate:
Experience as an effective, creative and engaging teacher across Stages 4, 5 and 6.
Ability to teach Geography.
Ability to teach Commerce, which is highly desirable.
Capacity to teach an additional subject outside the HSIE Faculty, such as Religious Education, which would be highly regarded.
Capacity to teach additional HSIE subjects, including History (highly desirable)
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within the HSIE Faculty.
Knowledge and understanding of current NESA syllabuses and curriculum requirements.
Commitment to contemporary, evidence-informed teaching practices that promote academic excellence.
Ability to use student data effectively to differentiate the curriculum and address the learning needs of all students.
Commitment to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
Demonstrated ability to integrate technology effectively into teaching, learning and planning.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills when working with students, parents and colleagues.
Current NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW.
A current Working with Children Check.
Commitment to child safeguarding principles and practices.
Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition of the College.
Commitment to supporting the College's Pastoral Care Program, including Home Room responsibilities.
Willingness to contribute to the broader co-curricular and community life of the College.
